This site

World Swim Against MalariaThis site has been set up to distribute information about the Against Malaria Foundation and especially its 2008 World Swim Against Malaria.

It is primarily an information source for media (both traditional mass media and social media) - but essentially it is open to anyone who is interested in keeping up to date on what is happening.

The Against Malaria Foundation is a unique organisation, which despite the amount of money it has raised and the numbers of people involved relies almost entirely on individuals and organisations giving their time and support for free. This is the way we can guarantee that all the money we raise goes to buy bed nets. Our distribution partners then distribute them. This means 100% of the money we receive buys nets, they end up over heads and beds and we demonstrate that has happened.

Getting information

Richard Stacy is looking after communications. This site is basically our press office. We would ask that, as much as possible, you go through this site (which is set up as a blog), to get your information and communicate with us (through comments on the posts).

All photographs and videos of individual net distributions are avaialble for all to use and are included on each distribution page. See main distribtion list. There is a gallery of hundreds of pictures uploaded by fundraisers on the Against Malaria site.

In addition to the posts on this site we have set up the following:

As a rule - if can’t find the information you want here or in any of these places - it doesn’t exist. But let us know if you think there are gaps and we will plug them.
